As you may remember from the closing ceremony at the 2006 Eastercon, we had planned to do a conventional Beyond Cyberdrome in 2007 with a theme of 2007, as in Bond, James Bond. That isn't going to happen. The official cover story has something to do with Eastercon being cancelled and then reinstated at a smaller hotel with not enough space to hold it, but we all know that's rubbish.
We can now reveal what has really happened. It's all Ernie Stelios Blohard's fault. He's built a secret base on the moon and is threatening to drop rocks on the Isle of Wight until Brookside is re-commissioned. Bond strapped himself to a souped-up Black Arrow rocket and went up to sort him out, but we're not sure how or when he's going to get back. The Americans have offered to pick him up on their next manned lunar mission, but nobody can tell us when that's going to be. He could be stuck up there for months with only Blohard's army of beautiful female assistants for company! Poor chap.
